We are still under construction. It will be a few weeks before we can get everything properly posted. Visit us often to see what’s new.

Our Purpose

On these pages we offer a variety of content, all of which address a single theme–formation in human sexuality.

All chapters of the Facilitator’s Guide and the Participant Guide for Father Quay’s excellent book, The Christian Meaning of Human Sexuality, can be found on the Study Guide pages and through the links below.

This book can be profitably studied by mature high school students, engaged couples, single persons, married couples, priests, bishops and even the Pope.

A copy of Father Quay’s book was sent to every active bishop and cardinal in the United States, plus a few priests and prelates in Canada, Rome and Africa. It was a gift from the families of Northwest Catholic Family Education Conference in Seattle. Moreover, the letter that accompanied these books is posted to the right. Please pray for our bishops!

A big thank you goes to Ignatius Press and Father Joseph Fessio, SJ for kindly providing a most generous discount for the purchase of 300 copies of Fr. Quay’s book. Without such assistance, we would not have been able to reach all the bishops.

This first effort of mailing the 270+ books and letters is only the beginning. Stay tuned for announcements of future endeavors!

Our Approach

Two presuppositions underlie the approach to formation in human sexuality that is offered on this website:

From the above description the reader may correctly infer that the formation and materials we offer do not fall into the category of what might be called “sex education.” The reason for this follows directly from what has been suggested above: that sex is only an indicator, a sign, it is not an end in itself, but is pointing to something (Someone) far beyond itself. If we look only at what sex is in its biological manifestation, if we look only at the indicator, we fail to see the significance, meaning, and purpose to which it points.

Therefore, all the ideas, suggestions and materials on this website are offered with one goal in mind: to aid the reader in coming to a deeper, more integrated and reverent understanding of the Christian meaning of human sexuality.

The centerpiece and impetus of this effort is a book by Father Paul Quay, SJ, The Christian Meaning of Human Sexuality. Using the content of this book as our guide, we have gathered or created numerous resources for varying age groups from young children to mature adults.
